Loudoun Bees is a small apiary in Leesburg, Virginia. This website is at loudounbees.com.

What We Collect

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address and the date you subscribed. That’s it. We don’t track opens, clicks, or any other engagement metrics.

Contact Form

If you send us a message through the contact form, your name, email address, and message are sent to us via email. We don’t store contact form submissions in a database.

No Tracking

We don’t use cookies, analytics, or third-party tracking scripts. There are no ads on this site.

How We Use Your Data

Newsletter emails: to send you occasional updates about our apiary, journal entries, and honey availability. We typically send a few times per season — not weekly, not daily.

Contact form: to reply to your message.

Email Delivery

Newsletter emails are sent through Resend, a transactional email service. When we send you a newsletter, Resend processes your email address to deliver the message. Resend’s privacy policy is linked above.

Unsubscribing

Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it immediately removes your email address from our list. You can also email us at hello@loudounbees.com and we’ll remove you manually.

Your Rights

You can:

• Unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email
• Request your data — email us and we’ll tell you what we have (it’s just your email and signup date)
• Request deletion — email us and we’ll remove your data entirely

We respond to all requests within 30 days, usually much sooner.

Data Storage

Subscriber data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database. The site itself is hosted on Cloudflare Workers. Both are subject to Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
